About Jacob Dominicus

For more than two decades, he has guided people through inner development and outer achievement. Over 30 years, he has studied human motivation and how to change behaviors and perspectives; for 25 years, he has explored organizational functioning and created or consulted for visionary companies. He is a certified Executive Coachthrough the Hudson Institute of Coaching and certified in the Leadership Circle Profile 360. A graduate of the THNK School of Creative Leadership—where he was also hired to consult for in-company clients—he completed the Suluk Academy core (4-year) and advanced (2-year) programs and is a certified Retreat Guide in the Inayatiyya lineage. Heserves as co-vice president of a 1,400-year-old contemplative lineage, developing and delivering meditation curriculafor audiences from beginners to advanced teachers and guides. A founding member of the Guild of Future Architects accelerator, he was contracted to develop and deliver an innovative group-dynamics curriculum for founding teams. He leads transformational classes and retreats online and around the world.

He holds a B.A. from NYU in Organizational Behavior, Contemplative Studies, and Narrative Theory, and was a Visiting Scholar at NYU’s ITP, studying ancient and emergent “Technologies of Self.”

As an Executive Producer at Whole Foods Market, he led the team that created the James Beard Award–winning online magazine and TV series Dark Rye.

After founding a cutting-edge gaming company that integrated VR, biometric wearables, and behavior change, he brought that vision to NYU, helping seed what became the Future Imagination Collaboratory.

He is also an “indoor” student of Sifu Master Hu in the traditional lineage of Xingyi and Bagua martial arts. Most importantly, he is a husband and father.
