Liberate Yourself from Your Inner Critic (April 15 - May 16, 2024)
5-WEEK MEDITATION SERIES
April 15 – May 16, 2024
Hosted live on Zoom (recordings available)
"As long as you do not know the secret of separating ego from the self, you cannot master yourself." Hazrat Inayat Khan
Do you ever find yourself held back by a nagging inner voice of self-doubt, harsh judgment, and relentless criticism? This insidious inner critic, known by many names – the superego, inner judge, the gremlin, or accusing self – can sabotage our happiness, well-being, and personal growth if left unchecked. It robs us of joy, sneaks into our daily lives, and inhibits our freedom to experiment and explore life to the fullest.
Imagine a life where you've found freedom from the shackles of self-criticism. Ancient traditions like Sufism and Buddhism, and more recently psychotherapy, have recognized the inner critic as a major obstacle on the path to inner freedom. They teach that learning to work skillfully with this inner voice is key to experiencing liberation.
This five-week meditation course will provide powerful tools from Sufism, Buddhism, and contemporary psychology, neuroscience, and leadership studies from MIT, Duke, and INSEAD to help you find your own freedom from the tyranny of the inner critic.
“I have taken 6 of Jacob's different classes on meditation and journeying within. Each one has been excellent; accessible, rewarding and nourishing. Jacob uses straight forward descriptive language welcoming feedback and enquiry to which he responds clearly and supportively.” -Marc
Who is this for?
Seekers looking for freedom from the inner critic, particularly in their meditation practice.

With a BA from NYU in Organizational Behavior and Mysticism, I weave insights into each session, synthesizing traditional wisdom, leadership and neuroscience research, and modern knowledge in a clear, accessible manner.
“Highly recommend. I enjoyed the experience and was grateful for the guidance and practical tips. Starting a practice can be intimidating and this course helps to break it down without focusing on one specific discipline, but giving a taste of many. Thank you!” - Cynthia

These sessions can help you diagnose and correct for challenges that might arise in your practice
Such sessions also support gaining clarity about what to focus on in your practice after the course has ended
