


Meditation and Accomplishment (Jan 11-Feb 20 )
Series runs January 11- February 20, 2021
The beginning of the year is often a time of shedding the old and developing the new. However, we don’t always have the tools or the support to do so effectively.
This 6-week series is designed to help people who want to align their inner and outer lives in support of accomplishing their personal and professional goals.
As humans we desire. Some desires coalesce into goals. When circumstance, skill, and effort align, our goals are realized.
For millennia, practices from Taoism, Buddhism, Yoga, Sufism, Judaism, Christianity, and myriad other traditions have helped sincere seekers accomplish their inner and outer goals.
In the 21st century, tools of meditation routinely support athletes, entrepreneurs, artists, managers, leaders, philosophers, scientists, and activists among many others to achieve a wide range of aims.
Meditative practice can help us clarify our deepest purpose, cultivate ways of being and doing that align with our ideals, and strengthen us to stay focused as we move toward our considered goals.
Our practice will draw upon insights and techniques from traditional contemplative disciplines and evidence-based research in meditation, psychology, and neuroscience.
This 6-week series will explore the following topics:
Foundations of concentration
Clarifying our desires and goals
Identifying and cultivating desired ways of being and doing
Series Details
Sessions offered twice daily, 8am PT and 6pm PT. Please choose one class time to attend.
6 days a week (Mon-Sat), live 30min guided meditation sessions
Starting at 8:30a PT and 6:30pm PT, 10 to 15mins will open for questions
There will only be one Saturday session at 8am PT and will use different class formats
Sundays are intended to practice on one’s own
All sessions are live and take place on Zoom (Links will be sent after registration)
All sessions are recorded and available for download within 8 hrs of the live session
All sessions will be led by Jacob (see background here)
